I haven't been very active on YTMND. In fact, in the three years I've been on this site, I've only created a handful of YTMNDs. But that doesn't mean I won't miss this place. Between the papers, the binge drinking, and the toils of everyday living, I visited YTMND as a way of venting. At first it started out as a replacement for what should have been therapy, but as time progressed, this escape turned into a love of YTMND and its community (no homo).
Concordis. Aeternus.
Thanks Max, for everything.

The interwebz shall never be the same. Farewell, YTMND, in all your glory.
Some of us, myself included, could say we've seen better days, when the forums weren't TOTALLY filled with sh*t, sites weren't hacked, and sh*tty sites were never viewed. When our problems were Downvoters and eBaum and we teamed up against them. When new fads arose every week, and everyone loved coming here. YTMND is probably the best example of the internet I know, and I will miss it dearly.

Max: Your ideas seem completely possible, and they look like they will be a good addition to the website. I love the advertising idea. YTMND aside, hope you feel better with your George Costanza syndrome.

Freaking awesome. Loved the whole bit of it. It seems like the switch to Flash would really do wonders for the site. I love the ad idea as well. I'm not sure what the cost of hosting YTMND is currently though :/ could you give us some idea Max? I'm just curious.
Also, gl with flash! Hope to see something new in the future :P

I love how YTMND gets a less 'serious' look every time there's a visual redesign. Remember the Old English lettering on the main page?

This is pretty great, max. I mean your site. But also the flash loader is a MAJOR step up. I especially love that you take the graphic support off the browse. But will this eliminate the minimum frame delays from YTMNDS? Will IE be able to handle .07 frames now?

Wow I love this, it's so beautiful! One thing that would make it even better is to add this character! (This is not an ad or plug, I think he should seriously replace that non-descript blob in the bottom right corner): http://gaycarlwinslow.ytmnd.com

I've pretty much left ytmnd for 4chan a long time ago and I feel the same. This site just isn't kicking like how it used to be back in 2003. But if he was "bored" of life instead of depressed of life he should have simply got a hobby. I bet he felt nobody 'truely' loved him, which is 98% of the case. The other 2% of suicides are arab suicide bombers and christians bored of jesus.

Wow. You're a loser for making this. For a YTMND, site this sucks. It's not funny and it's definitely not informative. Coke > your life. Now you may continue making love to your Pepsi can.

Ytmnd politics. Deletion is needed to make way for more excellence.

The username color thing is just one small example. You're missing my point. max, you have put your heart and soul into this site and turn a blind eye to 2,000 and counting moon man sites. Free speech? You're not an elected official. SOME semblance of pollution control should be expected. You hate YTMND's users, and you chase away the people who actually like your work and want to be here; by your actions or lack thereof. I love the new site, and I (sometimes) enjoy coming here. But I feel like the garbage that has been allowed to fester on this site has damaged my mind and soul.

I truly appreciate the work that you and the people who helped made on this site. I believe coding is like watching a child growing up and getting healthier and stronger. I just couldn't be happier to be here, to express myself, see what other people have to say, all for free. Just like a lovely park in the middle of the city.<br />In the past I said I was leaving this site, not because of the site itself but because of some users. But maybe I'll give another shot. I'm proud to be a YTMND user.

Max, I do not like the web design treatment to the site. There are a shit ton of new features that you have put into it, but I think it's far too busy to explore them all. Im a fan of clean design and this site would do well to incorporate a modern treatment. Web 2.0 is a nonsensical term, but to me it just means clean design and good user interface utility. I like the two column approach, similar to the structure of my old design at -- http://nutnics.com/ytmnd/ -- other than that, I'm just bombarded with detail every time I visit a section of the site.<br /><br />I'd love to help skin this if you want, just give me sample page and I can apply the styling. You should want the content stand out (the sites) not the site if that makes any sense, well to me the sites provide the color, and the ytmnd can provide the stage.

After a month of 2.0, I must admit that I'm enjoying the new YTMND. The background/foreground option is phenomenal, and the frienemies list makes cyberstalking fun and easy. I love the new comment rating system, and the UI design changes don't even annoy me anymore. Great job Max!<br />Here are my only complaints, and I don't believe they have been mentioned. First, when I try to view a site's assets and the file type is .jpg, I always get a 404 file not found error. Also, I wish that the comments still showed when someone has FAV'd the site on which they are commenting.

rodheh. you suck. all you people suck.<br /><br />joey, btape isnt a mod. there hasn't been an admin page since 2.0 launched hence he has had no special mod insight or capabilities.<br /><br />rodheh, you chose btape only on reputation. his a activity dwindled before you even joined. same goes for my join date. i just happened to have communicated, reasonably, believe it or not, with more people here. hence, i have a better understanding of this place as a decrepit social circle. and believe it or not, provoking people in comments and harassing PMs isn't an indication of much of anything beyond how silly someone can get with the internet.<br /><br />getting more in depth with your dumb list, all the users you chose are either your meebo/comment buddies or a few stragglers who post nothing and (as it just so happens) haven't taken the time to call you out and explain how far off you are (heh). yes, we need as a mod:<br /><br />lax83 - a user who has posted the most ear rape sites and exclusively votes of friend-sites or people who 5 him (sorry lax, love your antics but it's true). lets make lax a mod so he can create the sites he regulates while he regulates them.<br /><br />eightbitprodigy - a user who presumably is your buddy. i can't imagine who else would be. jimmm? but yeah, 8bit, a relatively newer user who makes some nice sites sometimes but who cares. he has proven (like nearly everyone else on this list) unreasonable user bias. non mod in my opinion.<br /><br />wisdumcube - a user who rarely visits anymore and only expresses hate and regret for ytmnd. also who gets in more petty fights than i do.<br /><br />kekko - a nice guy. brings a non-american stance. mode? sure. also, he is gay and thinks im hot. sure, sure :) i would love a homosexual mod to scare off all you homophobic retard users who hear FAGGOT.wav and experience their balls crawling up inside themselves with laughter. my vote is for kekko, faggots.<br /><br />

i showed someone some sites i made, along with that murdarmachene site about taco salad and i also showed the (pppttttt) new talent on 60 mins site. he loved all of them and said "wait, so people make these and upload them with their own separate urls, and people vote on them?" he even thought the gay inside jokes were funny before i even explained some of them. he thought my parody of fourest's clint eastwood site was insanely funny, just because it was so strange. keep in mind, this person is a major media snob, kind of like gr33nscr33n but a little younger. he said "i want in" and "show me how you make these" so i briefly explained the format and linked him ytmnd.com. he had no idea what the fuck it was, didn't know how to find other funny sites, and didn't bother trying for more than 30 seconds. i said "yup, sounds about right."<br /><br />true story

gr33nscr33n used to love my sites. <br /><br />http://content.ytmnd.com/content/3/7/8/378a46a06ccc25733d4d46393a1cf<br />e42.jpg<br /><br />Read the comment at the top of that. That was my THIRD site. Alas, that vote was changed to a 1 when he spent hours downvoting all of my sites back in December, some with alts. I think I really did piss him off when I was vocal about the featured user thing being flawed, to the point that he is re-writing history. I laughed when I read the part about leading a campaign to get users removed. I love a good piece of fiction. All I did was make a few sites poking fun at the whole setup. <br /><br />http://featureduseriscredittoteam.ytmnd.com/<br />http://pinks.ytmnd.com/<br /><br /><br />(if you can find any others, more power to you)<br /><br />Big campaign, huh?

That wouldn't be possible until this summer so don't even bother. The only reason I'm visiting YTMND between now and then is only to read and post on these news updates, using this account. I'd love to help out, but right now is not a good time.<br /><br />And someone tell me why fads involving the Edmund Fitzgerald always develop when I take time off. If anyone makes an Edmund Fitzgerald site, send it to me because I will probably like it.
